Lake House is a bespoke four-bedroom residential property designed by Hawkes Architecture under Paragraph 80 planning policy, which allows exceptional architectural design within rural settings.
Taking inspiration from the former railway line that once passed through the site, the architectural design incorporates distinctive curved walls and carefully considered detailing. Externally, a combination of English sweet chestnut timber cladding, traditional brickwork and a striking red zinc roof creates a unique appearance that complements the surrounding landscape.
Sustainable building principles are central to the project, with energy-efficient construction methods and a biomass heating system contributing to the property's environmental performance. The wider development also incorporates three separate guest accommodation units, designed to resemble traditional railway carriages and positioned within the surrounding landscape.
